Liz first joined the Hispanic Development Fund as a volunteer in 2018 and now serves as the Director of Marketing & Development. In this role, she leads storytelling, fundraising, and community engagement efforts to grow the impact of HDF’s work across Kansas City. Originally from Querétaro, Mexico, Liz first arrived to the United States alongside her then single mother. Understanding firsthand the struggles our students are faced with, in 2021, Liz established the Luchona Scholarship. Through this scholarship, Liz aims to uplift and support undocumented young ladies in their pursuit of higher education. While this work is a significant‬ ‭part of Liz's world, it would not be possible without the love and support of her husband, Shay,‬ and their children, Landon, Sofia and Camila.‬
