Areli joins HDF as a Sociology major who’s deeply passionate about uplifting the Latino community and making a difference in the lives of others. She finds purpose in connecting with people, sharing experiences, and building bridges across communities. Traveling around the world is one of her favorite things to do as it allows her to explore new cultures, meet new people and try diverse foods. Most importantly, she credits traveling as a way to see the world through different perspectives and to be more open and grateful about life. Originally from Mexico City, Areli was raised in KC and is a graduate of Emporia State University. Outside of HDF, you can find her hanging out with her family and dog, Billie.
