Adriana Cazares

Adriana Cazares, is on the path to fulfill her dream of becoming an educator. A proud 2026 graduate from Johnson County Community College (JCCC), Adriana recently earned her Associate Degree in Education. An achievement she credits to her faith, hard work, and support she has received from her family. 

Having transferred to Emporia State University to continue her educational journey, Adriana will be doing her student teaching at a local elementary school this fall. She hopes of one day leading her own classroom and teaching the future generations of leaders.

When starting college, Adriana initially found navigating higher education intimidating. However, she quickly learned to trust herself and her skills. Rather than stepping back, she chose to dive deeper into her field to build experience. She currently works as a teacher at a Montessori school, a role that has provided her with invaluable insights and practical knowledge. 

Adriana's biggest piece of advice for peers considering a career in education: Get hands-on experience as early as possible. It helps you gain experience and confidence as a teacher.
